Single event code issue

When I attempt to use the code for single events in articles or pages ([SINGLEEVENT single_event_id=”your_event_identifier”]), I invariably receive the message “We are sorry but this event has reached the maximum number of attendees!”, although for those events there is still no attendee registered.

How to solve this issue, insofar as I need to use this feature extensively on my site?

Thank you in advance.

What is the Unique Identifier?

I’m guessing it contains accented characters?

You are right: it does contain accented characters (French).

I have tested extensively and this appears indeed to be the sole cause: the presence of accented characters in the event’s title. As long as there are no accented characters, the registration page shows up properly. But in non-English languages, writing without accents is not exactly an option…

So now, how to do?

You can use the [ESPRESSO_REG_PAGE] shortcode instead:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#reg-page

It takes the numeric event_id instead.

This indeed does the trick.

Thank you Josh.
