Single booking event shows as sold even when customer doesn't pay (continued)

This is a continuation from support ticket : https://eventespresso.com/topic/single-booking-event-becomes-sold-out-with-no-payment-cont/

As suggested previously, we have updated Event Espresso on our testing server and done further testing.

The same problems are still occurring, as follows :

1. Customer makes a booking but bails out at checkout without proceeding to Mijereh to make the payment.
2. The single ticket event is showing as ‘sold out’ on the website. I understand Event Espresso “holds” the ticket for a period of time before releasing it so it’s available to be booked by someone else.
3. In the Event Espresso backend (Event Espresso -> Registrations) the booking is showing as abandoned.
4. Upon checking the booking some 7 days later, the Event Espresso is now showing the ‘abandoned’ booking is ‘Incomplete’ under the TXN Date column and ‘Approved’ under the Customer’s Name column.
5. The event is still showing as SOLD on the website. It has not cleared.

Can you please advise why this is STILL not working after the update? This problem is causing us a significant amount of lost business as events are showing as SOLD when they are not. It is also extremely time consuming with the extra administrative work staying on top of these issues.

If you supply a secure login, I can provide you with logins to the testing website so you can see the problems yourself. I can also provide screenshots of the issues throughout each process.

Thank you.

Hi there,

This part:

4. Upon checking the booking some 7 days later, the Event Espresso is now showing the ‘abandoned’ booking is ‘Incomplete’ under the TXN Date column and ‘Approved’ under the Customer’s Name column.

The session expires after 1 hour and will then clean up when next wp cron event is triggered, however…

‘Approved’ registrations apply to the sold values of events so if the registration shows as Approved and the event only had a single place, the registration is taking that place so the event would show sold out.

With the default setup of EE the above registration should not be set to Approved unless they paid OR the ‘Default Registration Status’ of the event was set to Approved.

If you supply a secure login, I can provide you with logins to the testing website so you can see the problems yourself. I can also provide screenshots of the issues throughout each process.

If you send details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

I’ll take a look over the event/registration.
