Hi guys,

To continue the previous issue which is not resolved – https://eventespresso.com/topic/single-booking-event-becomes-sold-out-with-no-payment/

We have created a staging website and updated WordPress to view the site health. The page is showing no errors for WP_Cron or scheduled events.

Can you please advise us of a secure place we can send the logins to the staging website so you can log in and identify the problem?

Thanks

Can you please advise on the status of this?

Has someone looked at it?

Thanks

Hi there,

Josh replied directly via email on August 30th, I’ll add the content here:

With regards to the event not switching back from sold out after the reserved ticket is released, this was something that was fixed back in May 2018 with the release of Event Espresso 4.9.62. You’ll find the change log notes here:
https://eventespresso.com/wiki/2018-changelog-archive/#4.9.62

Since your site has Event Espresso version 4.9.57, it doesn’t have the fix or any other fixes that were included in the updates since March of 2018. I can advise to make a backup of the site’s database, and update to the current version of Event Espresso 4. Please note: After you update the site to 4.10.0, Event Espresso will show prompts for you to update the database. This is necessary and only takes a few minutes.

We would like to do this on a test website, in case it crashes the live website. We have created a staging website however it is asking for our licence key to update EE4. It says below the licence key “If this is a Development or Test site, DO NOT enter your Support License Key.”

How can we test this because we can’t afford for the website to crash?
Thanks.

Hi there,

You can update manually on your staging site:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-upgrade-event-espresso/#ee4-manual-update

In short, deactivate the current version installed and delete it, download the latest version from your account page, install and activate it.
