Hello

I am creating a business event that will have many sessions throughout the day for people to register. Is there a simple way for me to create the sessions inside the main event? I’ve tried to add Questions, but that is very limited in its reporting system

You can kind of see what I’m trying to accomplish if you click on the following link and then click on register.

Hi Aaron,

The site you posted is actually using custom questions as you suggested in your first post. They are using the radio button question type.

EE4 does this more ideally, because you can include each session individually in the events and registrants will then need to register for each session that they choose.

The site I posted is the one I created. Is there a better way for me post the sessions without using the questions and without upgrading to EE4? By having questions I’m very limited in my reporting.

The other option is to create separate events and then use the [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK] shortcode to add all of those events to the cart at once.

So if for example your main event had an ID of 1, and then your other events where 2,3,4 & 5 you could add all of those events to the cart at once using:

[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”1-2-3-4-5″ anchor=”Register for These Events”]

Although this method has its own pitfalls.

MER requires the Personal Information question group to be answered at least once for each event/ticket type. However you could use Javasrcipt to hide ‘extra’ fields and copy the information from the first attendee to all.

Currently events default to a qty of 0 when added to the cart. Although this can be modified multiple ways.

As mentioned EE4 handles this more elegantly, may I ask why you do not wish to upgrade?

The main reason is that it is still in beta phase and I’m sure that there are still many kinks that need to be worked out. Thank you for the response posted. Approximately, when is the new version supposed to be out of beta phase?

Hi Aaron,

Graduation from Beta is dependent on reaching specific development milestones and goals, which are not based on performance instead of dates.
