I wonder if there is a way to show two prices for the same ticket when a promotion is active: one price with the promotion and another price before the promotion (i.e this one slashed through).

I don’t think this is possible currently but I can double check.
May I ask, when you say a promotion, how are you setting that up in Event Espresso?
A ‘codeless’ promotion using the promotions add-on?

I checked the code used to output the ticket price and without completely overriding the ticket selector template I don’t think this is possible.
Also due to promotions being applied as ‘line items’ within the transaction, you would need to write your own function to calculate each individual tickets price based on the promotion applied.
So in short, to do what you are requesting would likely require some significant custom development.
