Hi, on the archive events page we would like to show only the past events. I have searched for it, and I saw the plugin “Event Espresso Past Events List Shortcode” for using the shortcode [espresso_past_events]. That would work if we would like to post it as a simple list. However we are using your grid view template add-on, and we would like to show the past events in this grid view. Is there a shortcode or other way to do that?

Were you able to download the past event? it is just example plugin on how you can query past event.

If you want to modify it, change the shortcode-template.php according to the styles you need.
the other option is to use this existing shortcode
[ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE show_expired=true category_slug=past_event]
Create a category and put all expired on that category.

So the only way to do it within the grid view to put every expired event manually into a category?

Right, That’s how you do it using existing event grid shortcode. Or use the snippet we shared and customize the template.
