What are the best shortcode options for displaying all events or category specific events? Also, the old Espresso layout looked like this? https://web.archive.org/web/20210119115320/https://marjoriebrookseminars.com/strait-method-seminars/
Please confirm that selecting the Category on backend will let us auto show events/categories when shortcode is added.
Would like it to look like this, for example, if possible.

Hi there,
With EE4 you have the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode to list events.
For specific categories you can use: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug={category-slug}]
You can see a list of the shortcodes for categories in Event Espresso -> Events -> Categories (tab)
Also, the old Espresso layout looked like this?
EE4 uses your site’s theme to output a lot of the event details so it won’t look the same as EE3.

My apologies but I don’t understand this question, where are you selecting a category in the back end and which shortcode?
