I’ve recently run into an issue that the shortcodes below stopped working. I updated my theme (Enfold), Updated wordpress, and EE4 and all add-ons. After doing so my shortcodes stopped working. I reached out to the theme author and they were unable to see any reason for this. I tried one of their wp 4.5 solutions http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/having-problems-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-5-please-read-this-first/ but that didnt work Any thoughts? |

If you switch to another theme do the shortcodes work again? You can temporarily switch to another theme for the admin only (leaving enfold active for everyone else) by installing the theme test drive plugin. |
Yes the shortcodes do then show up. However we are not able to track down why? I purchased a support token, any insight you can add on why this might happen? |
If you can send us a copy of the theme we can investigate further. {support at eventespresso.com} Or you can upload to a service like dropbox and post a link to download it here. If we have the actual theme code to work with, we might be able to track down why the shortcodes are breaking. |

The file has been sent to support@. Thank you |

Thanks. I haven’t quite narrowed this down to the specific cause, but I can give you an update. The theme itself is fine. If I load it onto another site with Event Espresso running, the shortcodes parse correctly. Along with that, if I switch your site from using the child theme to use the parent theme, the shortcodes parse correctly on your site. So at this point it looks like it could be an option, a widget, or other theme setting that’s in play while the child theme is activated on your site. |
Thank you for the update. I will continue to look into the child theme. There really isnt much in th echild theme, but now at least we’re looking in the right direction. Please let me know if you find anything else out |
I installed the child theme files onto another site, activated it, and the shortcodes continue to parse correctly. |
So are we thinking maybe there is a corrupt file or DB table along the way? |
No I’m not thinking that. |
I think it must be in the theme settings file. I created a new child theme exported, then imported the theme settings and got the same error. |
When that file is imported onto a site, the settings from it are stored in the _options table in the avia_options_conceal_and_carry option. |
I think what I’m going to do is start from a new child theme and reset the theme settings one by one. Thank you for all your help!!! consider this one resolved. |
