I’m having trouble getting the shortcodes for ticketing to work.
I have inserted the [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] shortcode in the Registration Approved message to Registrant. the message is being received, but doesn’t show a link to the ticket, just the raw shortcode.

Here’s a link to the event: .

This is a new test installation, using:

  • Event Espresso 4.5.0.beta.032
  • Event Espresso – Ticketing (EE4+) Version 1.0.0.beta.004
  • WordPress 4.1, running Twenty Fifteen theme.

Hope you can help!
Thanks, Chris

I just tested it out, and it seems to be working on my test install. I got the url in the email. Are you sure that you have the ticketing add-on activated in the plugins admin? In the EE messages admin, do you have the added ticketing messages, Ticket and Ticket Notice?

Hi Sidney,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have the ticketing add-on activated.

In the messages admin, I can see one added message, Ticket, but I can’t see Ticket Notice.

I have put a shortcode [TXN_TICKETS_URL] in the Receipt message, and this *does* generate a url which correctly shows the ticket. But the [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] shortcode in the Registration Approved is not interpreted.

As I understand it, [TXN_TICKETS_URL] shows all the tickets for a registration, while [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] gives a single ticket for one attendee – is that right?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi,

You are adding it to the Registrant email message, are you testing with multiple attendees or just one? If just one, the shortcode will need to be added to the Primary Registrant message.

I ran a few tests locally and didn’t see any issues with the link being added.

Yes [TXN_TICKETS_URL] should list the tickets for that transaction, while RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL should be singular.

OK, it seems to be working now – not quite sure what the problem was. Many thanks for your help,

Chris

Hi Davi,

Which version of Event Espresso and Ticketing Add-on are you currently using?
