Instead receive this error messeage
An error has occurred:
The [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode has not been properly registered or the corresponding addon/module is not active for some reason. Either fix/remove the shortcode from the post, or activate the addon/module the shortcode is associated with.

Hi there,

How did you update to 4.9.22, was if via the plugin menu or using FTP?

Via the plugin menu.

Can you try removing the short code from the page, then update the page, then add the short code back onto the page, then update the page again?

Had no affect.

Can you post a link to the page where this isn’t working?

If you create a new page, add the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode to that page and publish, does it work there?

The [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode is a core shortcode so should always be available, we are checking to see if for some reason the shortcode tracking is failing on that specific page.

It does not make a difference. See http://mh.assewp.org/test/

Note: The shortcode for [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] works but not [ESPRESSO_EVENTS]

Hmm, that’s very strange.

To confirm are you adding these shortcode within the standard WP Editor?

If you remove Event Espresso from the site by de-activating and deleting the plugin (you will not lose any of your event data) and re-install a fresh copy from your account page does it still happen?

Yes, shortcode is being added within the Standard WP Editor.

I have tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin. Before I completely deactivate and delete, can you tell me which file triggers the shortcode? I would like to ftp a fresh copy of that file directly to the server and see if that works.

The file used for that shortcode is:

\event-espresso-core-reg\shortcodes\espresso_events\EES_Espresso_Events.shortcode.php

Registering the shortcodes is done dynamically within EE core.

Removing and re-installing the plugin is the recommend path to make sure you have all of the latest files for EE.

Replacing the file appears to have corrected the issue. I’ll perform a full reinstall on Monday.

Thanks for the tremendous support and quick responses.
