Shortcodes not working

Hi, I have been using your platform for years. For some odd reason, when I updated events for this year (using your duplicate feature) the Ticket Selectors do not appear online.

They appear on my screen while building the site in Elementor – but the live page in my browser does not show them.

I have updated the proper event ID number. Here is a sample of what I use:

[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=’25436′]

All 2024 versions of events are not working. The corresponding “closed” version from 2023 still appears to be working, as do other shortcodes from other plugins.

So, it seems like a very isolated specific issue. Can you take a look or does this sound familiar?

Here is one of new pages:
https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/open2024/

and the same event, last year:
https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/open2023

Scroll down a bit, you’ll see a big red bar that has “SIGN UP TO PLAY” in it … the shortcode is still working from 2023, but not for 2024

Any thoughts?

note, I have tried both versions of the shortcode:

[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=’25436′]

[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=25436]

both with and without the single quotes … neither works

Also note – for some odd reason, it works for this event, but none of the others:
https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/juniors2024/

All were built the same way. And I’ve been doing this for a few years this way now.

I did check the shortcode and everything is fine on my end. Can you give more details on what you’re doing? Are you trying to use active event with on sale ticket? can you send us the link of the event and also the page where you use the shortcode that didn’t work.

please mark your reply as private if you think it needed to be private.

thanks

Have you tried, copy and pasting the shortcode as plaintext then change the event ID? or manually typed the shortcode.

[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=370]

thanks

I sent the links in my initial message:
Here is one of new pages (shortcode not working):
https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/open2024/

and the same event, last year (worked fine):
https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/open2023

To create the 2024 Event, I used the native “duplicate event” option and edited accordingly.

I don’t understand this question: “Are you trying to use active event with on sale ticket?”

Yes, the events are “active” as best as I can tell.

I have created a user account for you guys in the past – if you are able to login and see what is going on? Maybe I am not explaining correctly

Hi Allen,

A couple more questions:
– Can you double check that in your event settings, the Ticket Selector is active? Edit your event > go to the Event Registration Options panel, Ticket Selector Active “Yes”? https://www.screencast.com/t/kWCru6Ry2h
– Can you send a screenshot of your event ticket dates and status?

I do not see the ticket options old event page because it looks like that event is expired (probably per your settings, you can exclude expired tickets from showing Event Espresso > Events > Templates).

I do see this event has the ticket options, so whatever is happening is likely a shortcode or event/ticket settings configuration issue: https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/juniors2024/

Yes, if you want us to work on fixing this for you, you can purchase a support token here, then you can send in login credentials.

You an send login credentials here: http://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Aaah, this did the trick! (Edit your event > go to the Event Registration Options panel, Ticket Selector Active “Yes”?)

I didn’t realize you could turn the selector off (or I forgot) … thanks for your help!

Glad it was something simple as turning the pricing option selector back on. Let me know if we can do anything else for you.
