Hi, I have created two test event groups and will need to be able to display both categories separately. I have established the two categories, each event has only one category box checked, and I have double checked this under the edit categories tab.

Hi Kevin, Just to confirm, is that the shortcode shown for that category under Event Espresso -> Events -? Categories. For example – http://take.ms/DlFeb Have you modified the EE templates at all? |
Hi Kevin, Can you try removing the quotes from the shortcode, so it’s this instead?

Hi thanks for the responses, @tony yes that is the shortcode that is shown, and @josh I gave it a try with no quotes and there was no change. |
Hi Kevin, If you go to http://yoursite.com/event-category/fresno/ does it list out the correct events? |
Yes Josh that does bring up the correct event list |
@josh does that give us some useful information as to why the shortcode is not working? using that event page is not as convenient as being able to plug the shortcode in and out of my site. |
It doesn’t provide information on the shortcode, but shows that EE is working correctly when filtering the categories. Can you link us to the page this is happening one please? Are you using multiple instances of the shortcode within the page or just one? It could be a plugin/theme conflict, to test that you would need to temporarily de-activate all plugins and retest, if its still the same switch to a default theme such as twentyfourteen and check if the events that load. It is best to do this on a development copy of the site away from view of you visitors. |
