Is there a shortcode that I can use to display all events (event name, date) for particular event category.
Alternatively is there is a way to display all events and some details in a table format (like Excel sheet).

Hi,
Well you could just use the EVENT_LIST shortcode and set the category parameter https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#event-list
We also have the Espresso Table shortcode available via the Custom Files Addon, but this is due to be replaced shortly via a new plugin that has some built in table formats.
This new add on uses the EVENT_LIST as a base, so the tables can easily be specified to a single category.

I have used the EVENT_LIST shortcode but it is not returning events as single rows.

Hi,
No it wouldn’t, at least not without some template modifications.
Currently I would suggest the [ESPRESSO_TABLE] shortcode from the Custom Files add on would be your best bet.
