The shortcode [ESPRESSO_EVENTS limit=5] for EE4 is not doing anything no matter what I set the number to. I don’t see errors in the console. Is this a known issue? I am using Themeco X Pro theme. Here is an example page where it’s not working:

https://mycadd.forge1.com/revit-training/classroom-training/introduction-to-revit-architecture/

On this page, I am using 2 shortcodes to illustrate the issue. The first is: [ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=3443 limit=2]

The event ID selector is working but not the limit selector.

The second example is:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS limit=5]

This is just the simplest shortcode to rule out everything else.

Hi,

The [ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR] shortcode doesn’t actually accept or use a limit parameter. So that’s why you’re seeing no change to the output.

With regards to the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS limit=5] shortcode, you would need to have more than 5 events for the limit to take effect. Currently your site has only 1 event.

Now all that said, it seems like you want to limit the tickets displayed initially, which can be done by changing some settings. You go to Event Espresso > Events > Templates, then scroll to Show Date & Time Filter? and set to Maybe. Then adjust the settings for Date & Time Filter Threshold & Date & Time Filter Max Checked to your preference.
