Shortcode for Virtual Location Phone Number Not Working

I have the default code for the Virtual Location in edit/add new event admin pages. I’m using [phone] to grab the number to place in the email confirmation. The email shows blank.

Does the “Phone” field have any validation? We’re using this for a passcode and not a full phone number length. Or I’m using the wrong shortcode to pull the “Phone” field for the confirmation email.

Thanks.

Hello,

The Phone shortcode is actually [location_phone]. Try that.

Maybe I’m missing something:

Code for Default registration confirmation email:

<strong>Passcode</strong>: [location_phone]

In the edit event:

Virtual location:

Phone: 12345

URL of Event: Example.com

Call In Number: 555-555-5555

Email still comes up blank for passcode.

I have tested this, and can’t seem to get it to work. I’ve discussed it with the developers. I will enter a ticket to get this corrected.

For the time being, I have a workaround. The [venue_phone] shortcode is working for me. You could add a venue for the virtual location, then use the shortcode [venue_phone] to add it into the emails.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

Thanks, the workaround works. I’ll stay subscribed to this topic when your devs find a fix.

Thanks!

Great. Glad it works!

I’ve added a ticket in our system for the devs to fix it.
