Shortcode for coupon code used to add to email notifications

Hi
I need to add a shortcode to the Admin Registration Confirmation emails that shows what coupon code (if any) the buyer used for the purchase.

The reason for this, is that they have coupon codes that allow people to register for a course and get 100% off, then we invoice the company that this person belongs to (as the company is paying, but the employee(s) are registering and picking their course/date).

But if they get 100% off, then the admin only gets the Registration Confirmation Email, they do not get the Payment Complete email (as the payment was zero)

But they need to know that the 100% off coupon was used so they can then invoice for everyone.

I looked in the shortcode list, but did not see one?
Please advise?

Hi there,

Event Espresso does not include a shortcode for promotion codes by default but you can add one with this:

https://gist.github.com/Pebblo/dc011b43b461064a831d

The code used there is set up as a plugin so you copy the file add it to a directory within /wp-content/plugins/ and then check for a ‘Event Espresso site specific functions’ plugin.

Activate that and you’ll see a [PROMO_CODES_USED] added to the messages shortcodes.
