It seems this short code that we have been using is not capturing new courses that we add. [LIST_EVENT cat=’ms4-compliance-enforcement-certified-inspector’]

We recently updated to this version of EE: 5.0.17.p

When we use this short code: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=ms4-compliance-enforcement-certified-inspector]

it captures all the courses in that category, but is no longer in the nice, clean list format that we’ve been using for years. How can we get the list display back while also capturing all the courses in that category?

Hi Thomas,

Can you please share a direct link to the page so we can look at the issue you are facing?

Also, do you have any screenshot of how it was showing before? If you have that please share the image with us.

Looking forward to helping you.

Hi Sam,
This is how the page has always looked: https://npdestraining.com/ee-test-ms4-compliance-and-enforcement-certificate/

This is using the [LIST_EVENT cat=’ms4-compliance-enforcement-certified-inspector’] short code mentioned in my initial inquiry. However, we created another course in May and it’s not showing up in this list. We run 100+ courses per year and never have a problem with them being captured when we add new ones. For some reason, this recent one is not there so it either has to do with the update or we have some sort of user error. This view of the courses is what we would like the page to look like.

The only way I could see to get the new course in May to show up was to use this short code: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=ms4-compliance-enforcement-certified-inspector] but now the page does not look anything like we would like. Please see here: https://npdestraining.com/courses-and-training/ms4-compliance-and-enforcement-certificate/

But note, the course on May 16 does show up on the list now. We want the look of the first link with the inclusion of all the courses in this category as evidenced in the second link.

Let me know if that helps.

Hi there,

[LIST_EVENT] is not a shortcode from Event Espresso itself, it’s a custom shortcode using what I assume (based on the page source) is the DataTables plugin. I/we have no idea how it’s pulling those events in to help with this currently.

However…

We recently updated to this version of EE: 5.0.17.p

Do you know which version you updated from? Was it version 4.X.X?
