if no order_by param is specified, the shortcode ESPRESSO_EVENTS does not show the event list
using 4.2.5.p on WP 3.9.1 Multisite

Hi Olivier,
Could you provide an example of the shortcode that you are using?

Hi, that is the regular shortcode for displaying events. I thought you may be using the shortcode with several parameters.
What page is it being used on?
It should work fine on all WordPages pages except for the /events/ page as that is reserved for the core plugin.

I’m aware of the /events restriction.
But if I don’t specify the order_by parameter, it does not show anything.
This issue came with the 4.2.5.p updates

That is definitely strange. I tested on my dev site and it worked:

I also checked on another site that is on a different server and it is also working.
Could you temporarily turn all plugins off and reactivate only Event Espresso?
Then please refresh your permalinks by going to the permalinks page in WordPress admin –> Permalinks.
From there, you can browse to the page with the shortcode.

It seems that the bug went away while pushing on a different server…
