Hi there… I think there is a some sort of bug when you try to share a specific event link on FB. It is picking up the latest upcoming event instead of that particular specific event. For example, try sharing this event on your FB: http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/our-events-2/event-registration/?ee=20 you will see that it is picking up a different content. |
Hi Andrea, Can you let us know which version of the social media buttons add on that you are using? I ran some tests on my test server and the facebook button is working as expected. |

We are using Next Scripts SNAP |
|
It’s not when we use this – it’s when I copy & paste the URL into FB – I don’t have the next scripts share buttons on the events page. |
Hi there, We do not support the next scripts share buttons plugin. The current version of our social media share button plugin (v 1.1.5.1) is the one we currently support for linking event content to social media networks. |

As I said above, the share button is not even on that page and it happens when I copy the URL to FB, i will try your share button (even though I wasn’t using the share button) What is that share button, where do I find it? |
It’s right between the address and date on your registration form. It looks like it either needs to be updated or the other plugin is creating a conflict though. |

ok thanks, but I have bought a support ticket & your guys made some changes for me (I asked them to update EE for me, not sure if they have yet) so I am seeing a different view – no share buttons – I will check our SM plugin, but here is the screenshot of what I am seeing – http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/?attachment_id=868 |
The Event Espresso social buttons do not appear on the event posts, like here: http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/events/hawkesbury-networking-event/ but they do appear on the link that you earlier posted: http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/our-events-2/event-registration/?ee=20 For the first post linked to above you could try a plugin like Add This. |
