I’m looking into purchasing Event Espresso to be used to manage registration for an upcoming conference. I do have the lite version installed and had a few questions as I’m looking at the features.
I noticed on the event overview page that there is only one option for Event Pricing. There is a small red “delete” button but there doesn’t appear to be an option to add multiple rates. Here’s what I’m looking to set up. Please let me know if this is possible with event espresso.
1. There will be a base fee for the conference. This would be for folks that want to just attend the sessions.
2. There would also be several options, 5 in total, of various lodging options w/ the base added to the room costs. Most attendees would be choosing a lodging option and there would be a limit on certain rooms. So, I would need the option to cap off the number of registrants for each particular room option. I guess it would be something where all options are listed at varying price levels and the attendee would chose what fits their needs. Then they would proceed to payment for that particular choice out of the several offered.
Does this make sense. Is this possible to set up varying price option within event espresso?
There are two ways that this can be done with Event Espresso.
Use the Multiple Event Manager add on, and create an event for each option, set up a page with a table or similar and allow the users to add to cart each “event” that they want. This needs a bit more setup to get going but can provide a flexible and stable system.
Add the different options as price options and use a setting feature that allows you to cap attendee limits on different prices (so if the overall event was capped at 10 people you could cap each price option at 2 people). This feature is experimental still but we have received good results from it.
Let me know if you have further questions.
