I’m setting up a golf event with the following pricing options

Golfing $100
Dinner Only $50
Breakfast Sponsor $200
Lunch Sponsor $500
Hole Sponsor $100

Should these be handled on the same Event? If someone selects “Golfing”, they really can’t go back and select “Lunch Sponsor” Should the Sponsor groups be setup as separate events?

Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan,

If someone selects “Golfing”, they really can’t go back and select “Lunch Sponsor” Should the Sponsor groups be setup as separate events?

You could set the sponsor tickets on another event yes, however, I’m not really sure what the above means, why would they go back and select the sponsor ticket and not in do that in the first registration?

Maybe I’ve setup something wrong, but once the select Golfing, they are not able to go and also select Sponsor.

Ideally you should use Event Espresso 4 for a golf event like this one. Event Espresso 3 had some serious limitations in the way you could set up ticket options. You can upgrade to Event Espresso 4 by following this guide:

I probably will not be able to upgrade before this event. Would you recommend I just create the Sponsorship items as a separate EVENT?

I don’t recommend using EE3 for this event, but if you must stay on Event Espresso 3 you can follow this guide as a workaround:

Thank you for your help. Do you see any issue in the short term to have 1 event for Golfing and a second event for the Sponsorships? Obviously the visitor would have to make 2 transactions if needed.

Thanks Dan

The 2 transactions, and having to fill out the same registration form twice, which can be avoided if the Event Espresso 3 Multi Event Registration plugin is activated.

Am I reading the correct? It would cost $249 so I could purchase the Multi Event Registration Plugin?

That’s not correct. You can contact the sales team and they can help you with getting your support license switched to EE3 and they can get you a la carte pricing for the EE3 Multi Event Registration add-on. Please note that the recommended solution to use Event Espresso 4 will cost you nothing extra.
