Hi folks,
Is there a plugin or something we can add so that when someone new registers for an event and to create an account, they can automatically create their password instead of waiting for the password that wordpress creates for you and checking email etc?

Hi,
I assume you are using EE3. If so then there is this code here: https://gist.github.com/Apina/9596012
It needs WP User Integration and what it does is create a new user if that email address does not already correspond to an existing user.
I added an alternative version with a basic modification (the bottom bit in the code) that allows you to use a question field for the password.

Please note that that code is not supported by us, and is designed to be used as a basis for further modifications. So it may contain bugs, and you should test it thoroughly before implementing it.
