I know this is a bit counter-intuitive, but my client would like to display all transactions as completed by default. They are not accepting payments through their site, they basically just want to get an email notification of a registration, which they would then manually process on their end. So they don’t want the transactions to show as “Incomplete” and have to go in and complete each transaction on the WP Dashboard. Is there a way around this?
I’ve set the default registration status to “Approved” but the transactions are still showing as “Incomplete.” Any suggestions?
Hello, that isn’t currently possible as Event Espresso is expecting a payment to be processed for a paid event:
…They are not accepting payments through their site
It is incomplete so the registrant/attendee has an opportunity to pay later or the event organizer could send out a payment reminder.
Also, if you default the registration status to approved for all events, then someone could go in an register for say 2 ticket (pricing) options and then not follow through to pay.
If that workflow is critical to the project, then feel free to reach out to an Event Espresso professional here:
Okay thanks. If I just set the default registration status to “Approved” and left all transactions as “Incomplete,” would you see any issues with that?
Okay thanks. I know it’s not the best solution but might be what we need to do for now.
