SET DEFAULT SALE START AND SALE ENDS BASED ON EVENT START TIME

Hi
I could not find a snippet so assume this is custom but to speed up adding the event process is there a way to update the ticket sale times based on a set period of time for example if an event starts on the 14th of September the sale date for all ticket automatically starts 1 September. 14 days from the start date. Am i correct in thinking that tickets will not show/be on sale after the event finishes so the end sales time is less important?

Thanks

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Yes, you’ll need something custom for this.

Assuming you want this to update as you change the date in the editor you’ll need some custom JavaScript to read that value and update the ticket sale dates.

You could also use PHP to update the values server-side.

Am i correct in thinking that tickets will not show/be on sale after the event finishes so the end sales time is less important?

Yes, that is correct. If all of the datetimes are expired (Event End has passed) then no tickets will show although if you’ve taken the time to create something to modify the start dates it would be trivial to also update the end dates.
