Server Timing Error (5)

Hi there,

I’ve been getting a server timing error:

Not sure where to start to troubleshoot it. We are summer are currently closed except 1 single event, so don’t know if it’s the event or something else.

Hi Derek,

Usually that error is caused by a stale cache of the event page being served.

Are you seeing the error repeatedly after going to the event page, then selecting a ticket, then clicking Register Now?

Hi Josh,

It seem intermittent. I cannot replicate it but have had customers report it 3 times now, all on the same event.

The error is shown at the screen where you select your payment type (I attached a screen shot in the earlier message).

Sorry – just reread your question, and to answer, it, yes – that’s where we see it, after clicking Register Now.

The caching plugins or server side caching can cause the error. It may also be if they’ve left the initial registration page open for a really long time (like over an hour) then try to finish the registration they could get the error.

Finally, you could go to the Event Espresso > Registration Form > Reg Form settings and set Enable Bot Trap to No if it’s currently set to Yes. I’m not sure that’s causing the error they’re seeing though.
