My client says he continuously gets this error:
We’re sorry, but your ticket selections could not be processed due to a server timing error. Please hit the back button and try again.

Client is probably trying to buy tickets here:

I have never received such an error.

Site is now hosted on wp-engine.com

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi there,

If you log out of the website do you see that error, but if you’re logged into the site is the error no longer there? If so, that means the page is being served from WPEngine’s cache, and you will need to contact WPEngine and ask them to exclude the registration-checkout page and the other pages that handle the events and checkout. There’s more information in the documentation:

I first added the code to remove cookie checking as per
https://eventespresso.com/topic/use-of-cookies/
that didn’t help
I went to sucuri and disabled the cache for the URLs listed in your link above, but that didn’t work.
I turned off the cache completely in sucuri. and that didn’t help either.
the other programmer turned off the cache for the selected pages in wpengine.

I don’t know what to do now. I get errors on the phone, but it works perfectly via a desktop.

I didn’t answer one of your points: On my phone I am NOT logged in to the WordPress website and I get the error.
I went to my desktop in PRIVATE mode and actually got the same error (I had been logged in before). Is there anything else to check?

You’ll actually need to contact WPEngine support and they’ll make the cache exclusions for you.
