When I try to login using the mobile iPad app, I get the error from the title. When I visit this URL http://registration.staging.wpengine.com/espresso-api/v1/events/public.pretty_json , I get a blank screen, which is not correct according to the documentation.

URL: http://registration.staging.wpengine.com (just a dev site to push to the real site… http://registration.wpengine.com)

WP Version 3.5.1.

EE Version 3.1.31.3.P

API Version 2.0.1.B

API is set for public access.

All my DB have the prefix “wp_” just as WP sets it.

I also don’t have access to the newly released update for the API.

This was fixed by disabling the EE SSL plugin.

I had everything disabled except the official EE plugins, but apparently that wasn’t enough.

Hi there,

The Event Espresso SSL plugin is no longer supported. It was an earlier fork of the WordPress HTTPs plugin, which WPEngine does not recommend using on their hosting accounts.

Since you’re on WPEngine you should contact them if you need to secure any pages on your site. Please see this WPEngine support documentation for more information:
