I have just created a new event called “Book an appointment”. Within our store we have numerous different departments, kitchens, flooring etc.
So what I want to do is within my “book an appointment” event I want to have a dropdown option to say “select your department”. When the department, for example “kitchens” has been selected and I click the submit button I want the manager of this department to be emailed to give them the customers details.
However the manager for flooring is different compared to the kitchen manager, so if I select flooring as my option, I want the manager of flooring to be emailed, not the kitchen one and so on.
Is this possible at all, to have the option of sending your selected department to a specific email address, but all within the same event?
Right now that would be hard to do without editing core files.
We are looking to add some filter hooks into the email file in EE 3.8. With those in place it will likely be easier to filter the email address based on the question response.
Ok thanks, I’ll leave that part of my project for now then.
I have one more question. I’ve set up my event, and registered myself as a guest for testing. In the general options and in the event itself I set the email address as my own as well.
What I want to do is when someone signs up for my event, I want it to email me to let me know, so I can forward the details onto the manager etc. Is there a way I can set anything so it emails just me when someone signs up to my event?
I’m sorry, I may not be understanding the issue. Are you not receiving the emails? You can enter multiple email addresses into those fields. Just separate them with a comma.
