I would like to find a way to use Messages/email a person who registers and/or pays for others. We have teachers and admin assistants gain access to our WP/EE site with a username, complete and pay for registrations and their contact info is not contained in Primary Registrant or Additional Registrant. Their contact info is captured in later questions. How can I use Messages to send a confirmation email to them the moment they finalize registrations. Is this a shortcode situation? Is this a custom programmer situation? |

Hi there, The answer to this depends very much on the specific of what this mean:
How do you capture their info if its not within the Primary or Additional registrant info? Is there an event I can register onto to view the setup? |

Here is the shortlink. https://skillscanada.bc.ca/?p=17539 |

Hi there, You should be able to do this using a shortcode. Your registration question mentioned above is set up on every registration so the way I would do this is using the You pass the ‘Question Text’ of whatever the registration question is to that shortcode after the *, so yours would be:
You can add that to the CC field of the emails your want to send over. For example for Registration Approved: Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates -> Registration Approve -> Registrant Like so: https://monosnap.com/file/XGTWfGjusSABzgqWRXZhICB8Jwm5dx Save and test a registration, inputting an email address you want to CC into that field, does it work how you are requesting? |

This is re-opening of a support post. https://eventespresso.com/topic/sending-an-email-to-someone-who-is-not-a-registrant/ I have screenshot of my unsuccessful test email. How can I attach it? |

I’ve re-opened and merged your threads. For screenshot you need to host the image and post a link here. Some examples: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots Or email them to support[at]eventespresso.com |
