If we have a group booking of say five people, and generate ticket notices for all our of registrations, will each group member receive only one email or five emails?

The reasons I ask is I just re-sent a ticket notice to one person in a group booking, but it generated and sent ticket notices for all other members of the group booking.

Any word on this? We have group bookings of up to 20 people and it is a little confusing when we generate ticket notices for every member of the group and every member then receives 20 seperate emails with their ticket.

Hi there,

My apologies for the delayed reply.

I tested this and need some more details on how your groups are set up.

I assume each registrant has an individual email? Not a group of X using only the primary registrant details?

How are you resending the ticket notice?

Is it for the primary registrant or just an individual registrant?

Hi Tony

Yes, the behaviour is occurring when all registrants have their own individual email address.

Ticket Notice is “off” for primary registrant and “on” for individual registrants.

We are actually issuing tickets after the initial registration and this may be the issue here: as discussed in another thread, I am turning off “registration approved” message, with ticket notice on, then selecting all approved registrations for an event and running the batch action “approve and notify” which sends the ticket notice but as I think about it, it seems the multiple emails are maybe due to this method of issuing tickets post-registration in a batch

We only decided to add ticketing after the bulk of our registrations were made.

I’m a little confused here, I guess I’m doing something different but I can’t reproduce the issue you are running into.

If I use the Approved and Notify option on a group registration of 7 registrants, EE generates 7 emails, one for each registrant.

If I do the same for just a single registrant in the group, it generates one single ticket notice email for that registrant.

Is that not what is happening on your site?
