Send registration confirmation emails to person authorising

I have been asked to change the registration confirmation emails so they all go to the person authorizing (as well as the possibility of a summary email). It’s then up to them to disperse the information.
Any ideas how I can make this happen?

Hello Shane,

In the individual event settings you can add an alternate email address. You will find it in the sidebar under the Event Options. You can add multiple emails by separating them with commas.

There isn’t an option to add a summary email at this time. However, you can export attendee data from the Attendee Reports area.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks Jonathan,

Let’s say I am the bookings officer for XYZ company.

I go to a site and register 3 other people for a training course.

Currently each of the registered people get an email telling them all the details for the event.

What we want is for the bookings officer to get that information and it’s the job of the bookings officer to then ensure the registrants get their emails.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks

Hi Shane,

The only way to make only a single person in a group booking receive the email, is only take that persons details in the registration process (Additional Attendee Registration info? in the Event Options set to No details required) but obviously that has its own issue in that you wont have their details.

I have been working on this for a while on and off, and it completely slipped my mind to mention that I am capturing 2 email addresses. One for the person authorising the course, the other the attendee.

Is there no way I can change the recipient of the email(s) to the person authorising or even CC them?

Hey Shane,

I guess I am not understanding your question. Is the “person authorizing” the person who is setting up the event? Or is it someone who registers for the event for someone else?

Yeah, its someone who registers for the event for someone else.

Oh I understand now, there is only one (or more)attendee, but someone else will book it for them. I don’t know how we will get around that, the plugin considers someone booking an event as someone wanting a ticket.

The only way I can currently think of resolving that would be to use a custom question to get the additional email address, but then you are left with having to customise the core email file of Event Espresso to recognise that if there is an email there it needs to cc that email along with the attendees email.

Perhaps it would be easiest for the bookings officer to enter their own email address for all attendees and forward on the emails appropriately.
