I have to admit that I needed an event application that helped me to sell tickets for my event. I purchased EE4, installed and well, started selling tickets.
I started getting phone calls and emails from people asking “Where are my tickets? Are you going to send them by mail? Is there a link to see my tickets?”, etc.
I realized that I have to buy a ticketing add-on and that there is none for EE4 but for EE3.
What do you recommend me to do? How Am I supposed to control access to the theatre the day of the event? Manually with a printed list?
You are correct in that EE4 currently does not support a Ticketing Add-on, both the Ticketing Add-on and both the mobile apps will need to be re-written to be compatible with EE4.

You could print a list of the registrations for the event and check the names off on attendance, or request that all attendees bring a copy of the confirmation receipt, although I would recommend the former as it will be easier to manage (attendee forgetting the confirmation emails etc)
