Hello, |
Hi Teresa, It is possible to set a user as the author of an event and then give that user access only to that event and its related data, however that is done using capabilities on the users account and through the admin itself. We don’t have any front end output for users to admin events, its all done through the front end, so no shortcodes like the above. It is also not possible to restrict the Transactions view only for events linked to the current author, so would need to remove the abilitiy to view the transactions list but could allow the user to view the transaction for a specific registration. Will using the admin for the admin work for you? I can provide more details if thats something you want to investigate further. |

Hi Tony, |
What are you using to view/edit them? Sounds like you are editing the capabilities of an admin role rather than an account, but I don’t have enough information to know for sure.
Not within WordPress by default, there are plugins that allow you to set multiple authors although I’ve not used them.
You can hide Event Espresso -> Transactions if that’s what you mean?
I created an example plugin a while back that adds to roles to your site, and Event Organizer role and a Events Administrator role: The organizers can only see events they are set as the author on, events administrators can fully manage EE but not the rest of your site. You can edit the capabilties used on those roles to suite you specific use case. |
