I have seen this topic addressed in the forum, but the solutions are all hidden in the premium. Since this issue afflicts the Lite users, can you please post the way to troubleshoot it for Lite license (free)? I have no problem on one site and have installed it on another that randomly gives the error above to people trying to sign up for things. Here’s one of several places the troubleshooting appears to be but is hidden: https://eventespresso.com/topic/i-have-the-security-error-like-many-others/. Thank you! (WP 3.7.1, EE 3.1.35.L, site with problem: http://premasoma.com/workshop-registration/) |
Hi Peter, You have WP Super Cache installed and activated and it’s caching the registration pages. |

Thank you for the quick response, Josh! |
Deactivating WP supercache will not resolve this because cached files will continue to be served. (Wp-super-cache changes the site’s .htacess file so even if it is deactivated the cached pages continue to be served) Here is a screenshot of the “Do not cache list ” setting. Its description is kind of wordy, so I call it the “do not cache list” setting. You’ll want to be sure to add workshop-registration to that list, save the settings, then clear the cache |

okay, I see how you are using the settings, but to be clear, I will have to include every page that I put an event short code on, right? |
|
It depends on how dynamic the content that the shortcode produces is. Things like the four pages listed in the EE->General Settings->Page Settings must be non-cached, since they must be generated for the specific registration during the registration process. Some pages generated by EE shortcodes may be less dynamic, such as a calendar page (if it does not have changing available spaces text, for example) that might be fine being cached. An event list generated by the EVENT_LIST shortcode might be fairly static, and be cached. Or it might have available spaces text on it that needs to be generated dynamically, and thus not be cached. It’s a judgement call that you’ll have to make by looking at each page and deciding whether it has static or dynamic content. |
