Hi

I am getting this error:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/security-error-from-shortcode-form/
But I have not any SSL or payment gateway.

The error only happens sometimes now I have deactived W3 total cache and hope it will not return.

Is it because of the cache plugin and how do I fix it so that I can use both plugins?

Hi,

Do you have any files in the uploads/espresso/templates directory?

What version of Event Espresso are you using?

You said you are not using a payment gateway, does this mean all your events are free or they cost but that you have no gateway turned on?

Hi Jesper,

It is likely due to the caching plugin yes.

When using caching plugins and Event Espresso (EE) you need to set all EE pages not to cache.

You do this via W3 Total cache. Got to Performance->Page Cache.

Scroll down to ‘Never cache the following pages’ and add EE’s core pages to that field.

So on a default install it would look something like http://d.pr/i/MxBa

If you have any additional pages with Event Espresso shortcodes that play a part in the registration process (eg. [SINGLE_EVENT]), these will need to be added to the do not cache list. Once you’ve added the Event Espresso pages to the Do not cache list you may need to refresh the site’s cache to ensure that your changes go into affect.
