Are you using any type of Caching plugin? If so please clear the cache and remove the registration page(s) from its caching system.
Regarding changing the amount of time. The standard is 1 hour, and currently there is no option to change this, you would have to modify the plugin which we do not recommend as it is a core aspect of the addon plugin.
You have the confirmation page set to be skipped. This will automatically confirm each registration when they are submitted. In the default configuration where the confirmation page is not skipped, the registrant will be taken to a second screen where they can confirm the registration. Once a registration is confirmed, then the selected seat does not get removed.
You can test this out by changing the confirmation page setting so that it doesn’t get skipped in Event Espresso>General Settings, then make a test registration without clicking the confirm button on the confirmation page. This will leave the registration unconfirmed and you’ll be able to check on that seat after the 1 hour hold period.
You are the one who asked me to set the confirmation page to be skipped as part of fixing the issue with the passing of 0.00 to paypal and the issue of not being able to add additional attendees. I would like to get that fixed first and then change the confirmation page back to being not skipped.
Let’s work on the issue with PayPal first. Can you try temporarily re-naming the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory so the core Event Espresso templates will load instead of the customized templates in /uploads?
