Hi there, any ideas on how to speed up the seating chart loading time? It take 8+ seconds on my pc with fast internet connection – 25mb down. People have been complaining that it takes more than 20 seconds to load.
Also, is there a way to add a ‘loading’ gif until the chart loads?

It looks like you have added a Loading gif already.
The content of the seating chart is about 1MB and for me consistently takes under 4 seconds to load – http://take.ms/9uzlo
The speed at which it will load will also depend on the Server load as opposed to internet connection speed (although it will play a small factor)
The users that are complaining of 20+ seconds may be registering at peak times or times when many users are on the site/server if this is shared hosting.
What hosting are you using for this?

Yes, I got the loading gif to work.
I am using hostgator.

Is that a shared Host Gator account (~$5-$10 per month) or a Host Gator VPS account?
