Hi,

Can you go to the Event Espresso menu and click System Status. On that page will be a section called Server Environment, under that will be WP Memory Limit. What is that figure? If it is below 64mb, it should be upped.

You can increase the memory via the wp-config.php file – http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

You can try upping it to 128mb but it is server dependant so they may not allow that much.

If that is the case you would need to refer to your host about memory limits.

I tried everything from Server end and it appears to be a problem with the plug-in.

Hi Jeyatheepan,

Thanks for your patience.

I have investigated your issue and it seems that there may be an issue with this plugin “espresso-seating” so I’d suggest you to contact your plugin provider and ask them to check this for you as there is no issue at our server end.

Please be advised that, we do not support third party applications.

Please let me know if you have any queries or concerns.

Hi Jeyatheepan,

In order to solve that problem, you will need to increase the memory limit in PHP. To do this, you can use the PHP.INI builder through VIPControl >> Click on Hosting Services >> Click on Manage >> Click on domain name >> Click on php.ini builder >> Select Custom.

If that doesn’t work, then please follow the steps listed below.

Can you please try creating a PHP.INI file in your ‘public_html’ directory with the following line in it (or add this line if it is missing):

memory_limit = 128M

You may also need to add the following line to your .htaccess file in your public_html folder as well:

SetEnv PHPRC /home/username/public_html/

Make sure you substitute the username part of the above line with your actual cPanel login username.

We also recommend reading this forum post, http://faq.ventraip.com.au/questions/5/How+do+I+fix+my+memory+fatal+error%3F for further details.

Please let me know if you have any queries or concerns.

I have already increased in wp-config but it is not working and I guess you need to do it in server.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

Hi,

Thanks for the login details. I had a check and could not see the error you are describing, can you clarify the process you are doing to reproduce this error?

Also, if you are adding the seating chart via the spreadsheet you sent me, it will not work. The spreadsheet needs to be created via a specific formula, please see the Sample.csv found in the seating chart addons zip file or folder.

Thanks – I can upload the sample.csv (I was uploading the excel file before). But I am getting an error when I click ‘View Chart”

Strange, it works fine for me – http://d.pr/i/tEhU

Have you tried clearing your cache? What browser (and version) are you using?

I just created one … Sections are not coming row by row .. instead it is appearing as column by column .. can you guide ?

Hi,

It’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with the documentation and also to have a look at the sample file, http://d.pr/i/JYLm

If you look at it, you will see that the row and seats change so the seats go 1,2 ,3 but the row remains the same, but when the row changes to 2, the seats start their order again, 1, 2,3.

That in affect creates rows (row one, x number of seats, row 2 y number of seats, etc).
