I can’t figure out the proper sequence to get what I want. I want 4 seats in a square on 5 lines. I start out OK and then I get this http://www.courtyardconcerts.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=seating_chart. Can someone get me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! |

Hi, We cannot access that link as it is in your dashboard area. Are you creating the seating chart via a spreadsheet or manually in the dashboard area? The spreadsheet option is, at first a little strange to use, but overall easier when you get the hang of it. If you are using the spreadsheet already can you screenshot or link to a copy of it ? |

I can’t seem to get a screenshot to work here. But, I am using the spreadsheet and have been playing around with different scenarios. I am trying to do this: 4 tables of 4, and then a second row of 4 tables of 4, etc. I can’t find the right sequence to get the second row of tables of 4 to go the next row. My first row works fine. I can email a copy of the screen shot if needed. xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx |

Hi, I assume you have had a look at the sample files? The basic premise is that the level, and the sections separate the groups. On the plan itself the sections will be side by side with each other and the levels above/below. Example one: using the same level, but different sections: http://d.pr/i/xZvF http://d.pr/i/QBXT Example two: different levels and different sections http://d.pr/i/Qr5a http://d.pr/i/5tfT Does that make a bit more sense? I know its not the most intuitive of systems, but once grasped can be very powerful.

I have looked at the samples, but everything just has one row. I’m not having any trouble with the first row. If I could get an example of the same row on the next line, I think that would give me what I need. |
Not true. If you look at Dean’s screenshots of the example seating chart, there are two rows. Row 1 and Row 2. Each row has 3 seats. In Dean’s second example, he’s using the Upper and Lower levels to add a second set of 2-row sections . |

Yes, you are right. I am not having any problems with the first two rows. It’s the next two rows that don’t work. I want to understand how to continue the sequence. |
|
I do not hot have two levels. I only have one level. |

Hey, Can you you show us the spreadsheet you are using and having an issue with? either via screen shot or link/download? That way we can see if there is an issue with it somewhere. |

Hey, No its not, its just not easy to get started with. OK, couple of options here. 1) to create a seat layout like this http://d.pr/i/GiSU you would just need to change the level names so they are different like so http://d.pr/i/9SKh 2) if you wanted it as one level but you wanted well, I want to call them levels, but lets say sub levels, then you would need to think of the whole section as a big grid, with spaces taking up spots as well as seats. eg this http://d.pr/i/QH5X comes as a result of this http://d.pr/i/ODVQ Heres the file to play with https://www.dropbox.com/s/herqvh0b691knsq/deans_seating%20chart.csv I hope that has shared ok, apparantly dropbox no longer does public folders. Now Chris is a wizard at these, im only ok, so it may be that mine isnt perfect. |
