I am testing out a new barcode scanner, and scanning the same ticket twice. I would have thought that once a person has been registered as attending, further attempts to scan the same barcode would generate a message saying that the person has already registered, but I am just getting another green tick, which seems to defeat the purpose of scanning.
Hi Nick, when you registered for that event for this ticket, did you register more than one registration? For example, you selected three tickets and registered as the primary registrant.
Are you using attendee lookup mode or continuous mode?
The barcode scanner doesn’t show a message on the screen when you ‘rescan’ a code. Lookup mode will display the details and offer the choice of checking checkout. Continuous mode will automatically check the user in or out depending on their current status.
I was using continuous mode. It didn’t seem to be checking people in and out, just continuously rechecking the same person in when I continued to scan the ticket.
There is no difference in view when you check in or out currently. For each check in or out you’ll see a green check mark.
If you check a user in using the ticket, then view the checkin list does it show checked in? Then rescan and see what it says for that same user.
