It seems you updated the bar code scanner add on and I am using windows 10. My scanner is not working anymore and it used to work fine when I first started using this. Please help…I am at an event right now. |
Hi Scott, Could you be more specific on what isn’t working? For example, if you scan a barcode, is there any errors being shown? — |

Hello Lorenzo, Thanks for getting back to me on the weekend. I actually figured out the problem on my own. It turns out the plugin does not like Mircrosoft Edge as a browser or Firefox for that matter. When I used Chrome it worked like a charm. You should know this for future releases of the add on. This said, I have an additional question. We run tradeshows and have a problem with vendors packing up early. We want to create a way to charge an extra $50 surcharge at registration and easily be able to refund it after the event, or the opposite where we assess a surcharge afterwards. Is there a way to do this simply? Second question, how can I create a pop up of terms and conditions at purchase to explain this surcharge? Thanks |

btw…it would be a great feature to know in real time how many people are checked in to an event. Right now there is no way to know how many people are in attendance. |
Hi Scott, you could create a surcharge through the advanced options (gear icon) on the ticket selector. Changing the pricing after a registration isn’t available so you would need to charge it before hand. Making the surcharge information available as a popup would require some custom coding and we do not have an example of that available as a starting point. The surcharge information could be created as a checkbox question that is required and then that could be added to a question group that is already enabled for the vendor events. — |

Thanks Lorenzo…that would work well…that said, how do we refund the surcharge after the fact with ease? |
Hi Scott, Refunds are processed through the payment processor. For example if you offer payments via Stripe, then the refund would need to be created in the Stripe account dashboard. Then you could go to the transaction details screen and add a refund amount of $50 and add a note and set the registration status to approved and save changes. — |
