Saving event causes date to subtract 48 hours

Each time I save an event in EE4 (Version 4.9.57.p) the event date subtracts two days. If I create the event for 1pm Feb 28 and save it, the new date becomes 1pm Feb 26. Another save causes it to go to 1pm Feb 24.

I switched the theme to TwentySixteen and removed all plugins except the EE ones and CloudFlare Flexible SSL, which is required.

Running WordPress 4.9.4

Hi there,

Your site is currently using an invalid timezone string (‘UTC-8:00’ to be exact).

EE would have displayed a notice that linked to a blog post explaining the problem using those offsets here:

https://eventespresso.com/2017/08/important-upcoming-changes-dates-times/

If you go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General -> Timezone.

Set that to a city closest to your location (or if you work remotely a city closest to the location of the events).

Once you’ve changed the timezone do the dates/times display correctly on your event?
