Save option missing from Event Overview > New Event

A brand new install (two hours old as of this writing) of 3.1.26.P over 3.1.25.L. Using Chrome 21.0.1180.75 m on Windows 7.

Can add a new event from event overview and enter all event information. There is no way to save visible on the page. Thought maybe the plugin has an automatic save function. Alas, no.

Will try a clean install. Any ideas on a cause for this problem?

Thanks in advance.

There should be a “Submit New Event” button in the upper right box on the page. The box should be labeled “New Event” and also have a “cancel” link in it as well.
Can you let us know if it’s the button itself, or the entire box that is missing? Thanks.

Sidney,
The entire box is missing. The sidebar was there with the trial version I used.

The new event page is the only page in the plugin where the sidebar is missing.

Another thing missing is the Venue option.

thanks for any help you can provide. I’m passed a deadline for an event and would love to get this resolved.

Michael can you check your error logs to see if you are getting any errors related to this? Also check for error logs in the wp-admin directory.

Seth, I lack the knowledge to interpret the error logs. There are a number of errors in wp-admin/error_log from August 10 and again August 12. Everything is posted here: http://givingbacktoafrica.org/event-espresso-error-logs/.

The sidebar is present in a re-install of the trial/free version.

I think Sidney found a solution where there was a CSS class conflicting, did that resolve the issue?

Josh, I have not heard from Sidney about the CSS conflict. Can the solution be shared with me?

Look boys, I need to make this work. If you have possible solutions I need to hear them. I’ve got invitations in people’s hands and no way for them to register. One reason I went with you all was because of the reviews and belief that your well organized Web site and support forums reflected a good product. We are a very small non-profit and cannot afford the $65 dollar support chit. I need a product that works.

Hey Michael,
The ftp info you sent in isn’t working for me. Can you double check it?

Sidney,
Works from my end. I’ll send the credentials via the contact page again to be sure everything is correct. I think I forgot to send you the server address.

Hi Michael,
It looks like there is a conflict with the google picasa view plugin. If you deactivate that plugin, the event editor should work.
