I followed the instructions here: https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-import-csv-example/
But the csv that I downloaded looks so unbelievably different than the one I have from my EE3 export, I’m hoping I did something wrong – because I can’t imagine how I am going to resolve the two for a time saving import into the new EE4 environment. I have uploaded the two here in care someone can take a peek and confirm that I’m wrong, or I’m a tad screwed. 🙂 Thanks so much. Files zipped here:

Hi,
Currently the EE4 export is quite complex, due to the complexities of datetimes and tickets in EE4.
Hopefully in the future we can simplify this somewhat, but it will no doubt always have a more complex structure than the one in EE3.

Any way I can import just the names of the events?

Hi there,
Not really. This is because in order for it to be an event, it needs a start date, end date, along with times and ticket information as well.
Another thing that we are working on while Event Espresso 4 is in beta, and we’re shooting for to get this into the stable release, is a way to make all the little options you set in an event to have your own customized defaults. That way you could go in and create an event, add a date, then hit publish and you’re done.
