Same Event/Ticket Dates purchased from different events

I am trying to figure out a way to sell the same event dates tickets in multiple ways (or from multiple events).

Setup Details
We sell tickets for classes on specific dates. These classes are in person and there is a limited amount of seats per class.

Problem
Selling tickets for that class either for just that one day, or as part of a multiple event purchase where they will be registering for multiple different classes at once at a discount.

In these classes, some users may be signing up for just that one day, whereas others might be in that class but also multiple others. We want to sell it as either a bundle or single class, but they have to pull from teh same allotment of tickets, how can this be done?

Class A – 1 day, $100
Class B – 1 day, $100
Class C – 1 day, $100

Class Bulk Purchase – 3 days, $250
– Same event dates/allotments as Class A, B, C, but purchased all at once.

How can this be done? Do we have to just have to use multiple event date purchase and the discount codes to achieve this, or can tickets essentially be shared across events?

Thank you!

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay I was trying to find a different solution for this but ultimately I think what you’ve posted is everything that is available.

You can’t share tickets across multiple events, only datetimes within a single event but I don’t think that will work based on the fact that these are different events, correct?

What I mean by the above is you could have a single event with:

Datetime 1, Datetime 2, Datetimes 3 (the dates don’t actually matter here)

The within the event you have 4 tickets:

Datetime 1 Ticket,
Datetime 2 Ticket,
Datetime 3 Ticket,
Combo Ticket

The 1,2,3 tickets are assigned to only to DateTime 1,2,3 respectively. The combo ticket is applied to all 3 datetimes, as it’s a separate ticket you set the price of the ticket there and as it’s assigned to all datetimes the sold value applies to each DateTime, not just one.

If that won’t work then currently the only other option is for the user to use a promotion code, which you will need to verify in the admin after they completed payment to confirm their usage was valid.

The issue is that Date 1, Date 2, Date 3, are not the same event, they are different events/classes.

Effectively, we want to be able to have people either register for the individual day, or be able to register for multiple events at once at a discount. I had thought about managing ALL “events” or “classes” with only one event, which would allow me to build out different ticket bundles while pulling from the same overall event allotments, but that feels like a messy solution as more classes/tickets are added.

It ultimately sounds to me like we’ll have to go the promotion code route, but that’s really not as ideal as I hoped, because we don’t have any reason to hide the promotion code, so it would sure be nice if someone could simply add a bundled group of tickets with one click of a button, rather than having them line up all the correct classes to combo the discount -_-

Thank you for your assistance.
