We are looking at purchasing your product next week, but I have a few questions regarding how the backend of EE works. I am going over the product with a few employees, one of them being our accountant, and I want to make sure I know how the backend sales process works so I can answer the questions she may have. We offer courses and currently whenever a student registers she is emailed a form that has the student information (name, company, phone number, email, etc) and the course they’ve signed up for. She also gets their credit card info and runs it manually, but that will be going away with your payment portal options. Does/can EE send out an email whenever a student registers with that info attached? I read something about exporting reports with that info, but I’m not overly clear on that process. It’s easier to get people on board when they don’t have to change their routine too much, so I just want clarification on how you can be notified about new registrations.
Yes, the information is emailed to the email account that is set in the General Settings of Event Espresso. Also, you can set an alternate email address for each event if you choose. The credit card information will not be included in those emails. Our plugin does not store credit card information. That will be something you would need to get from your merchant account provider.
Alright cool, thanks for the reply. Also, you can customize the registration form fields right? I’m sure we will want to use the same fields that are used on our current registration forms.
The only questions that are default are first & last names and the email, as they are needed for the plugin to function, every other question is custom.
