Hi, are there any updates in regards to integrating SagePay. I see a lot of interest in the forum, but is not clear if this is now under development or not? I think that this will definitely attract more clients if is integrated. Although I purchased Event Espresso Pro and I like it, I am already looking for an alternative service that supports SagePay now that I decided to use them as a payment gateway. Also… if there are still people interested to support this development, I might consider it too. |
Hi Bogdan, I’m not aware that integrating with SagePay has been sponsored (https://eventespresso.com/about/philosophy/#sponsored-development), so unless another community member has taken on that project there probably hasn’t been a lot of progress. Anyone else interested in helping to sponsoring a SagePay integration? |

Is the a guide that can be used to create a new payment gateway? If not, what is the most similar existing gateway that could be used to modify for SagePay? SagePay has three different payment integration processes: form, server and direct There is also a good example from this guy here: http://pete-robinson.co.uk/blog/post/sagepay-php-class I can try to use my development team to develop this (although we specialise in Java mainly) and will then offer it for free to you (and other people interested) if we get it to work. But I will need some help to get started. Will you be happy to answer some more technical questions as we develop this? |

Hi, You’re more than welcome to hack the core of Event Espresso, but we cannot support doing so. A little note on the level of support you can expect in the support forums: It is provided for technical assistance with your Event Espresso installation. This includes things like installing, configuring the options, etc. Generally speaking, we don’t provide support for customizing Event Espresso (modifying code, changes to the design, etc.). We have no specific guides for third party development, though 4.X will have a better API and docs. It’s suggested to take a gateway that is close to Sagepay in function (offsite like PayPal or onsite like PayPal Pro?) and use it as a base. |
Hey there, I wanted to let you all know that we have released our Sage Pay Gateway for Event Espresso 4 and it is now available in our store: https://eventespresso.com/add-ons/ You can find the documentation here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have. |
