s2member and private events

I would like users to be able to register for certain events based on their membership level. Is S2Member the best plugin to use? Does it play well with EE3? Any other suggestions?

With EE3, the EE members add-on, the EE S2 integration add-on, and the S2 plugin, you can set the threshold for receiving the membership discount up to one of the four levels that comes with the free version of S2. But it is still a binary state, the user either receives the discounted price, or does not. There are not more than the 2 price levels.
