running registration for two events at the same time

We have two events the next months we want to run the registration process with Eventespresso. Both of them charge free.

We have set up the registration environment for the first one (event A) and it works fine. In the general settings,a main registration page is defined with the name ‘event registration’, and it is used from event A registration process.

For the second meeting (event B) we have set up a registration page with the same content [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] and entered the URL of this page at the event setting in ‘alternate registration page’.

Unfortunately this registration does not work. It does not offer a registration page and stays on the eventlisting page. Thanks for advice dh

Note: The participants of the two events will be different people. So each particpant will register only for one event.

It sounds like you have a few things that need to be adjusted. It might help to look over the documentation here: http://eventespresso.com/wiki/setting-up-event-espresso/#page

The [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] short code will dynamically generate content for all events. So if you’re going to run two separate events, you only need to create one page with that shortcode on it. Remove the second event page shortcode and the alternate registration URL from the event’s settings.

If you prefer to have two separate event pages, this is what I would recommend: 1) Hide the main registration page (has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] short code on it from the navigation menu. Do not delete it. 2) Create two pages, one for each event. Place the [SINGLEEVENT] short code on each page and be sure to include the unique event identifier for each event.
