I’m looking for a system for school field trips that will allow parents to RSVP one or more children’s names to an event. They would also like to see who else has already registered on the event page.
To clarify the viewing attendees on the event page, the parents would be registering multiple children’s name and they would like the event page to show the registered children’s names (not the parent who registered them).
If you could confirm this is possible, that would be appreciated. I’ve signed up for a demo account now.
Yes it is possible, however it takes a little more setting up than normal.
Event Espresso considers the ‘registrant’ to the user actually registering onto the event. What you want is basically a separate ‘purchaser’, so the parent inputs their details and registers each child as a registrant, right?
In order to show the registrant as the child you need to collect the ‘Personal Information’ question group for each child, this would be at least First Name, Last Name and Email (Last Name can be removed from the group, the other 2 can not)
So you’ll need to alter the registration questions to collect the registrant (child) details and then use custom questions to collect the Parent info and use the answers to those custom questions within your message templates. (so the parent receives the registration info and not the child.
So as mentioned, yes its possible, but will require some setting up to have it how you need.
